My Chicago. Chicago is a city that understands the powerful ideas of commonality and diversity. We can see examples of these ideas in the architecture and people in Chicago's communities and neighborhoods. Let's visit some of Chicago's neighborhoods and learn they are similar and different. In this activity, you will look at two specific communities of Chicago to answer the question, “Why do people live where they do?” You will also conduct a survey and look at data on the people in the communities. You will need to organize the data in a spreadsheet and create charts and graphs. You will then research both communities for information to include in a presentation.
